Waqia Surah: Complete in Arabic, Theme, and Benefits

Surah Waqiah is the 56th chapter of the Quran and comes in the 27th Juz. It contains 96 verses and was revealed in Makkah before the migration of Prophet Muhammed (SAW).

What is the purpose of Surah Waqia?

According to their actions, humanity will be split into three groups on the Last Day, according to this surah. It emphasizes the unity of Allah, the afterlife, and dispelling the doubts and suspicions of Makkah's unbelievers.

The kuffar and polytheists found it difficult to accept the existence of heaven and hell as well as the judgment day, when everyone will be held accountable for their deeds in this world, since it was revealed prior to the time of hijrah.

They were surprised that there would be eternal life after this one and that the entire universe—or what they knew of it—would soon be destroyed.

All of us experience difficult times in our lives, and frequently we are unsure of what to do. Thankfully, there is a solution for everything in the Holy Quran and Nabi SAW's teachings.

When should Surah Al-Waqiah be recited?

A hadith states that one way to prevent poverty is to read Surah Waqia every night. Also known as the "chapter of wealth," it aids in bringing prosperity and plenty into your life. The surah is frequently recited following Magrib salaah.

Every day, you should make an effort to read as much of the Quran as you can. Regularly reciting Al-Waqia is beneficial, but you should read the entire Quran. You will reap more benefits the more you read. Do not confine yourself to a single surah.

Recall that we are provided for by Allah. You must constantly offer prayers to Allah and ask for His assistance in addition to reciting this surah. The virtues and advantages of surah waqia are not evident in any genuine narrations.

Hadith on Surah Waqia

Narrated by Abdullah ibn Mas’ud:

Allah’s Messenger (SAW) said, “If anyone recites a letter from Allah’s Book he will be credited with a good deed, and a good deed gets a tenfold reward. I do not say that Alif-Lam-Mim are one letter, but alif is a letter, lam is a letter and mim is a letter.”

Tirmidhi
Abdullah Ibn Masood (RA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah SAW said, “Whoever recites Surah Waqiah every night, he will never be afflicted by poverty. And Ibn Masood (RA) used to order his daughters to read it every night.”
